Proceedings: Prosecutors will play the jury a DVD of police interviews in which Miss Smith is said to calmly admit the killings and will show them a hand-written note in which she also confessed
Miss Smith fled the UK with her fugitive partner in December 2007 after he was arrested and questioned by police over allegations he had sexually abused his step-daughter
Prosecution witnesses include two members of hotel staff - a cleaner and a receptionist - and nine police officers who saw Miss Smith at the scene where the children were killed.
